Our Mission

Empowering communities through accessible WASH and menstrual health solutions, we uplift women, girls, and low-income communities by leveraging trusted, innovative last-mile distribution channels led by local female sales agents and solar-powered kiosks. By integrating human-centered outreach with inclusive financing, we break down barriers of stigma, affordability, and cultural norms, providing transformative menstrual health and essential WASH solutions. Our mission is to enhance dignity, health, and resilience at the last mile, proving that sustainable access can reach even the most underserved households in remote, hard-to-reach rural and pastoralist areas.

Empowering Women and Communities

At Nura Social Enterprise, we are dedicated to bridging the gap in access to essential menstrual health and WASH products. Our women-led team implements sustainable last-mile distribution systems, ensuring that affordable, high-quality products reach underserved rural and pastoralist communities in Ethiopia. Join us in transforming lives through dignity, health, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Our Core Values

Empowerment

We empower women, girls, and youth by recruiting and training local female sales agents, transforming them into leaders and entrepreneurs. This approach dismantles stigma, fosters open dialogue, and prioritizes dignity and agency, thereby promoting entrepreneurship and creating pathways to economic independence.

Accessibility

We use Local Female Sales Agents to create inclusive distribution channels, including solar-powered kiosks, door-to-door outreach, and flexible payment systems, reaching remote households. By providing credit and installment options via savings groups and mobile money, we make WASH and menstrual health solutions affordable for low-income families. Our commitment ensures access to high-quality products at prices everyone can afford.

Sustainability

We develop sustainable systems that outlast donor support by evaluating institutional willingness to pay, validating distribution economics, and integrating community demand. Nura fosters long-term viability and scalable impact in rural areas while engaging communities to build trust and promote health awareness.
